Ingredients:
Mushroom - 200g
Onion - 2 nos finely chopped
Tomato - 2 nos finely chopped
cumin seeds - a pinch
mustard seeds - a pinch
curry leaves - a sprig
ginger garlic paste - one and a half teaspoon
turmeric powder - a pinch
chilli powder - 1/4 teaspoon
coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon
cumin powder - 1/4 teaspoon
pepper powder - less than 1/4 teaspoon
dry pepper corns - 10 nos
corainder leaves - a bunch
bell pepper - six 1inch square pieces
oil - 1 tablespoon
salt to taste
Method:
Pour oil in a cooking vessel. Add mustard seeds, when they splutter add cumin seeds and curry leaves. Add the finely chopped onions, when they turn translucent add turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, after the paste is cooked add chopped tomatoes and saute till they become soft and pulpy. Add all the remaining masala powder(red chilli,cumin,coriander and pepper) . Add salt.
When all the moisture content evaporates add the mushrooms and close it with a lid. The mushroom will be ready in 10 minutes Most mushrooms should be cut only minutes before adding otherwise they turn dark. Garnish it with crushed pepper corns, coriander leaves and bell pepper.
Very good with Chappathis.
